Excursions in South Tyrol with the extreme-alpinist
Hans Kammerlander is a worldwide famous extreme alpinist and was born in a small mountain village named Ahornach in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley. When he isn’t climbing the highest peaks in Himalaya or Kararkorum area, he undertakes a lot of tours in his homeland, which are always a little bit "xtreme".Examples for this “extreme touch” are his 24- and 36 hours tours in the mountains of Tauferer Ahrntal Valley. He undertakes them with fit hikers, who want to sound their very own limits.
"As far the feets can carry you" is the motto of this very long excursion, which we want to present to you here.
24-hours-tour I from 25th to 26th July 2008
24-hours-tour II from 19th-20th September 2008
From Neves Lake in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley to Edelraut hut and on Neves-long-distance- trail to Chemnitzer hut. On Kellerbauer path to Speikboden and on Daimer-path to Luttach. Up to the Steiner-farms and passing Pojen and the Rein-waterfalls back to Sand in Taufers, where a big party wait for the participants.36-hours tour at 4th, 5th and 6th September 2008
The 26-hours-tour begins in Sand in Taufers. From here it goes to Mühlen, to Petersteiner farms and to Pietersteiner mountain pasture. Then the hikers have to walk to Speikboden summit station, to Mount Kleiner Nock and to Mount Speikboden. From here on Kellerbauer-path to Chemnitzer hut. Then to Göge mountain pasture, to Weißenbach and Luttach and from there to Klausberg and to Klaus-Lake. From here the hikers ascent Mount Rauchkofel and Mount Steiner Holm and descent to Pojer Vally and to Pojer Pass until they get to Durreck-long-distance-trail. On the trail they walk to the Schlafhäuser, to Mairhofer mountain pasture, to Rein in Taufers, to Kasseler hut, on Hartdegen-long-distance-trail back to Rein in Taufers and on Rein-long-distance-trail finally back to Sand in Taufers.Information about the tours with Hans Kammerlander
