The best area to do corn snow tours in South Tyrol is the Tauferer Ahrntal Valley. There are countless possibilities for alpine skiers on more than 80 glaciers, which are surrounding the valley.

But every alpine skier has to consider the 5-6 hours of walk to the peak of the mountains and that avalange risk increases during the day. Because of that corn snow tours have to begin early in the morning, the descent not later than about 11 a.m. Don’t forget enough to drink and to eat and  - of course – the avalanche rescue equipment!
